Global Warming Causes Extinction of Animals

According to Hirsch’s article “Animals ‘hit by global warming,’” there is a meeting about saving migration animals especially migration birds. First, global warming is getting worse and the climate is already changing. Many kinds of animals have to change their habitats because these environmental changes. For example, the temperature of ocean becomes higher. The plankton will disappear or move to other areas. This situation influences the food web. Second, animals can’t adapt to the changing climate because the change is too far and too fast. In the report, it also said people should find some new ways that can help animals to adapt to it.

Helping animals to adapt the changing climate is a hard and great work. Many scientists want to find out some ways to slow down the climatic change and the extinction of animals. But we don’t know whether it is effective or not yet.

First, pollutions effect environment greatly. Climatic change in the natural way is good for evolution. But climate changes so fast that the whole ecosystem can’t adapt to it. Human beings produce more and more pollution, dioxide and monoxide that can destroy our environment. For instance, the greenhouse effect and global warming is the most harmful situation caused by waste air. Scientists want to stop it. But the temperature is still rising and lives are still dying.

Second, environmental protection and economic growth seem not able to be balanced. People of the third world countries must cut trees and hunt wildlife to support their lives. These countries usually cut the rainforests to plant crops and export woods. These activities cause environment and climate to be changed. The complicated problem is not easy to solve by only scientists. Consequently, the developing countries must to help those poor countries to solve economic problems.

Third, the habitats of animals are not easy to be changed. If scientists want to help animals to move or help them to get new kinds of food, it will be difficult. Probably animals will die in these man-made ways. People said, “Lives will find the way out.” Maybe we don’t need to change many things. The animals will change their habitats to adapt to new conditions.

In conclusion, we can’t only help animals but also have to find out the causes which make these problems. Some people try to help animals or plants by their ways. On the other hand, other people keep harming the environment. It seems to waste money and time. Consequently, everyone should practice environmental protection anytime in the daily life. And find out some ways to help animals to adapt to new conditions. We also need to do something that can balance economic and environmental protection. Finally, we can do something effectively to save animals and the earth.
